Jalil Frazier
Portrait & Concert Photographer
I’m Jalil a photographer based in Harlem. I spend most of my time photographing performances, portraits, and campaigns for artists and creatives. Being around music and film for years shaped the way I see things. Crowded venues, stage lights, people completely lost in the moment, the rush before a performance starts, that energy naturally became part of my work.
I like photographs that pull people in instantly. The kind you stop on without really knowing why. I’m not interested in making everything look perfect or overly planned. The best images usually happen somewhere between confidence, tension, movement, and chemistry. Whether I’m photographing backstage, in the middle of a crowd, or during a portrait session, I’m always looking for moments that feel impossible to fake.
What I Believe
The best images happen between control and chaos, the movement, tension, strong light, and moments that only exist for a second.
I’m drawn to people with presence. Artists before they walk on stage, crowded rooms right before the music starts, portraits where the attitude already says enough. That’s the energy I naturally look for in my work. Whether I’m photographing concerts or portraits, I want the images to feel difficult to forget.
Client Testimonials
Beyond snapping some of my favorite photos I’ve ever seen of myself, Jalil’s professionalism, care, and attention to detail were what made me, a typically camera shy person, comfortable and excited to have my picture taken. He makes shoots enjoyable for everyone there, and that shows in the photos.

Event Photography Session
So I'll be honest, when I saw this young guy with big afro and overalls, I felt the need to measure my expectations. But Jalil met and exceeded them. He was knowledgeable, patient, and communicative. He listened to my jumbled ideas and was able to capture my vision. He did more than take nicely organized pictures, Jalil captured our vibe, our energy, our connection.

Event Photography
I booked Jalil because I liked his style, but honestly the experience was what made the biggest difference. He knows how to make you look good without making the session feel forced or uncomfortable. The whole session felt relaxed, natural, and actually fun. These were the first portraits of myself I genuinely loved immediately without overthinking them.
